Stained glass workshops for beginners and advanced levels

I have been a teacher for over 20 years in adult learning, schools and private tuition in my workshop or in peoples own homes.

I am very proud of what my students achieve either in the traditional leaded technique, copper foiling and microwave fusing methods. They enjoy making stained glass for the garden, their own homes or for presents especially weddings and birthdays.

We can also do group sessions, for a maximum of 4 people.These are great for family get togethers or hen parties and can be provided either in my workshop or in people's own homes.

Leaded/copper foil 2 day workshop:

The course will cover all aspects of glass work depending on your experience and personal needs.

It will involve design work, choosing your coloured glass, cutting glass to the design and leading using traditional methods.

There will also be an opportunity to learn the copper foil method. 

This involves:
  • design work
  • choosing glass to suit
  • cutting the glass
  • grinding the pieces to create a smooth edge
  • attaching adhesive tape to each piece of glass
  • soldering all the pieces together
  • attaching hooks to hang your beautiful unique finished project!
You can also make something delightful to to install in your garden,
using either leaded or the copper foil method. 

Coloured glass in the garden attracts wildlife especially butterflies.  

1 day workshop:


Try your hand learning the copper foil method. 

Spend the day making glass hanging objects for the home, presents, or the garden. Depending how large the objects you choose, depends how many you be be able to make.

I always have a good supply of glass off cuts to use for a very low contribution.
